25 ( AU)And great crowds followed him from Galilee and the ( AV)Decapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan. 24 So his fame spread throughout all ( AO)Syria, and ( AP)they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and ( AQ)pains, ( AR)those oppressed by demons, ( AS)those having seizures, and ( AT)paralytics, and he healed them. The tempter approached and said to him, If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become loaves of bread. He fasted for forty days and forty nights and afterwards was hungry. Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Jesus was led into the desert by the Spirit to be tempted by Satan After 40 days of fasting, when Jesus was at his weakest physically, Satan came to Him. 15 ( AC)“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased. Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil (Matt 4:1).
